Birth & Beyond is an award-winning home visitation program that provides family support services to pregnant women and families with new babies. (0-6 months). The adjustment of having a new baby can be especially hard for a family already facing challenges. Birth & Beyond Family Resource Centers are open to anyone in the community and offer a variety of services including: parenting classes, substance abuse resources and family activities. The goal of the program is to help build strong families, meet the needs of growing babies, and ensure that every baby receives medical care. The JLS has provided support for Birth and Beyond for many years and provides an ongoing annual diaper drive and seasonal activities to enhance the lives of these families.
Participating families will receive a framed 8x10 family portrait. This year, through the generosity of participating photographers, we are able to expand this program and families will also receive a 5x7 and 4 wallet size portraits to give as gifts to family and friends.
