Junior League of Sacramento

March Helping Hands

Each spring, Junior League of Sacramento reaches out to local organizations that support women and children at risk to assess their needs for volunteer assistance with projects that they would not otherwise be able to tackle. This year, we will be helping several wonderful community organizations throughout the month of March. Painting, cleaning, planting gardens, washing windows and organizing materials are just a few of the activities the Junior League of Sacramento members will be doing. This year, we are proud to announce our partnership with the following community organizations:

 Sacramento Crisis Nursery
St. John's Shelter for Women and Children
River Oaks Center for Children
Strategies 4 Change
Children's Receiving Home

The Sacramento Crisis Nursery supports families during times of stress in order to prevent injury and harm to very young children.

The mission of St. John's Shelter is to support homeless women with children into a position of self-sufficiency.

River Oaks Center for Children supports emotionally and behaviorally challenged children.

Strategies 4 Change fosters health, wholeness and self-sufficiency by providing exemplary education and support services that deter the onset or continuation of substance abuse.

The Children's Receiving Home is an emergency shelter for abused and neglected children between the ages of 1 and 17.

Many of these projects could not be completed without the support of local business. Please click here if you would like more information about this or other Junior League projects or if you would like to sponsor this event!
