This year marks the 75th Anniversary of the Junior League of Sacramento. Since 1942, JLS has served Sacramento’s needs for trained volunteers and functioned as the catalyst for our region’s women leaders. From the Crocker Art Museum, to the Child Abuse Prevention Council, to Fairytale Town and many more, Junior League of Sacramento members have worked hard to establish vital community resources and continue to pave the way for important programming and curriculum.
Decade after decade, the inspirational service and advocacy of our volunteers not only has helped bring about many of the privileges we now take for granted—from free school lunches to domestic violence shelters and clean water—but has shaped the way people think about serving their local communities, their nations and the world.
In true JLS spirit, we will celebrate our milestone with a combination of events, volunteer efforts, community partnerships, and ongoing initiatives.
75 Hours of Volunteering
This spring, JLS members will celebrate our 75th anniversary with a 75-hour continuous volunteer marathon supporting many of our community partners and engaging local media, companies, and supporters.
