WHO IS INVOLVED IN JUNIOR LEAGUE OF SACRAMENTO?

The members of Junior League of Sacramento are women dedicated to making a difference in the Sacramento Region in which they live. The Junior League welcomes all who identify as women who value our Mission. We are committed to inclusive environments for individuals, organizations, and communities. 

WHO CAN JOIN THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF SACRAMENTO?

To be eligible to join the Junior League of Sacramento as a New Member, a woman must be 21 years old by the application deadline, September .

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO JOIN?

New members are welcome to join during the recruitment period held between July and September of each year. Prospective members are encouraged to fill out an interest form throughout the year for more information on joining.

WHAT IS THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS?

All women interested in learning more about becoming a member of the Junior League may attend one of the New Member Information Sessions. To add your name to the prospective mailing list, complete the information request form or email us at jlsac.recruiting@gmail.com

WHAT ARE THE MEMBERSHIP REWARDS?

As a Member of Junior League of Sacramento: 

  • You are trained for effective action and leadership as volunteers, which can be used in the League, your profession, and daily life. 
  • You make a difference in your community by having the opportunity to contribute to multiple community programs, in both volunteer hours and financial support. 
  • You are a part of the Association of Junior Leagues International, which includes over 125,000 women in 296 Junior Leagues throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, France, and Kenya.

WHAT ARE THE MEMBERSHIP COMMITMENTS?

TOUCH-A-TRUCK

New members engage in an intensive full-year training program. All members are committed to attending General Meetings (4), New member training sessions (see below), completing community service volunteer shifts (2), and helping with Touch-A-Truck, our major fundraiser for our community programs. 

Members’ financial commitments include dues and can also include fundraising events and social opportunities.

  • New Member Kick-Off: September 21, 2026
  • JLS Community Partner Bus Tour: October 24, 2026
  • Done In A Day: January 23, 2027
  • Touch-A-Truck: March 2027 (exact Saturday TBD)
  • Big Day of Giving: May 6, 2027
  • New Member Committee Meetings: 3rd Mondays of each month (except January and February due to state holidays)
